Leemic Director Nick Pendlebury was very much looking forward to a different challenge, in the form of running the Manchester 10k.

Unfortunately, during training for the May 20th event Nick has fractured his 1st metatarsal in his left foot. The six week recovery period means Nick will miss the run. However, He hopes to be back in full training soon and on the saddle for the Manchester to Blackpool 60 mile ride.

All at Leemic wish Nick a speedy recovery.

Leemic have again been appointed the preferred supplier of multifunctional copy/print/scan systems to leading Ashton law firm Bromleys Solicitors LLP.

Having served the needs of the local community for over 150 years Bromleys LLP are the largest law firm in the borough and have a satellite office in Manchester.

Graham Roberts of Bromleys LLP commented; Due to problems with a previous supplier we undertook an extensive look at not only the equipment available, but the suppliers to support it. After all the photocopier/printer is an integral part of any law firm.

Following meetings with many potential providers offering a variety of manufacturers products, we elected to appoint Leemic as our partner. The professional industry knowledge demonstrated by Nick Pendlebury during our negotiations meant we were confident that the correct solution had been proposed to cater for current and potential need of an expanding firm.

This decision has been ratified by reappointing Leemic. Obviously in the current financial climate we again went to the open market to test market conditions and the proposal we received provided good value for money, along with a proffessional quality service that we have now been accustomed to.

Despite an demanding and complex installation, due to the geographical layout of the offices. The installation was completed efficiently and with the minimal disruption which is crucial to any busy firm. The efficiency and minimal disruption to the installation process was greatly assisted as a result of a good working relationship with Bromleys LLP IT support company.

I would recommend to any professional firm looking for a provider that understands the needs of the busy, provide a high level of support, reliable equipment and value for money, to consider Nick and the team at Leemic.

On Saturday 17th March Leemic’s Nick Pendlebury took part in a charity cycle ride between Stockport and Southport, in aid of Stockport County Supporters Co-Operative and Leemic’s supported charity St Ann’s Hospice.

Despite rather drizzly conditions, all riders where in good spirits with supporters of other clubs including City; Chelsea, United and Oldham joining County fans on this 46.7 mile journey from Edgeley Park to Haig Avenue.

After the “hooter” was sounded by Vernon Bear, the route passed through Cheadle, Wythenshawe, Sale, Old Trafford and Worsley, before the first water stop at the Worsley Marriott Hotel. The second leg saw the riders take to the East Lancs.‘s road, for a gruelling 16 mile stretch. Before taking in the final water stop prior to the last stage to Southport via Ormskirk.

All riders arrived in good time for the game (unfortunately a 5 nil defeat) and good spirits, if not a little sore. This despite some, including Nick adding over 6 miles to their journey due to a unforeseen diversion in Sale.

Nick completed the total journey in 3hrs 39 minutes and to date has raised in excess of £800.00 for this part of the 2012 fundraising campaign.

A massive thank you must go to all those who helped organise this event including Adrian Stores, Dave Roe, Russ Johnson and Sarah Bennett of St Ann’s Hospice.
