Leemic Support St Ann’s Hospice
Leemic are delighted to be supporting St Ann’s Hospice as the chosen charity for 2012. It quite appropriate that 2012 see’s the 40th Anniversary of the Leemic brand providing services in the Greater Manchester area since 1972. This follows on from St Ann’s same milestone in 2011.
St Ann’s cares and helps around 3,000 patients (over the age of 16) and their families and carers every year, that are affected by cancer and non-cancer life limiting illnesses.
Employing around 400 members of staff and helped by around 800 volunteers over 3 sites across Greater Manchester. Also in people’s own homes, St Ann’s Hospice has to raise £16,000 every day so their specialised staff can provide the highest quality care. As the care provided is free of charge over 92p in every £1 raised is spent on patient care and the services that support it.

Leemic Director Nick Pendlebury will undertake a variety of challenges during the year to help raise money for the Hospice and has set a collective target of £16,000.00, the equivalent of one days care.
He is hoping to recruit victims (sorry colleagues) from Leemic to join the team and push the total even further.

20th May: Manchester 10k Bupa Great Manchester Run

Nick’s first challenge is a 46.7 mile bike ride form Stockport to Southport on Saturday 17th March 2012. The route will start at Stockport County’s Edgeley Park Ground to Haig Avenue in Southport, prior to the fixture between both teams in the Blue Square Premier League.
The cycle not only aims to raise money for the Hospice but another local charity Stockport County Supporters Coop with the monies raised split equally between the 2 charities.
Stockport County Supporters’ Co-operatve is a formal, democratic and not-for-profit organisation of fans. The Co-op’s vision is to be the democratic and representative voice of the supporters of Stockport County Football Club, and to strengthen the bonds between the Club and the community which it serves.
